Process
This is a redo from 2011. I love going through my old pages, remembering the event or emotion captured. My son was going through a career change, an uncertainty at the time. He took up sailing and found that not only did he love the sky (he's a pilot), he also loved the water. APP Sea Foam is one of my Anna favorites, but I also love all the newer beach, ocean, etc. kits that have come out since then. I decided to do a redo, or an evolution of an idea. I wanted the new page to focus on the horizon ... looking beyond, not so much on the sailing aspect of the before page.

Using Artsy Layered Template 206, all layers were turned off except for the frames. The photos and map were clipped to the frame masks. A solid paper from APP Sea Life was used as the base. The image of the sailboat was dark, even after adjusting the levels. Transfers from APP Sea Life and AT Coastline were clipped to the image. FotoBlendz masks were layered over the image (resized and rotated). After I was satisfied with the coverage, the photo was duplicated the number of times as the masks and clipped to them. A transfer from APP Sea Foam was recolored and layered onto the page. A transfer from AT Coastline was layered behind the photo, giving the appearance of a sky and clouds. Using the warp tool, the plastic pocket was curved to look like a sail. Overlays, embellishments (banner recolored), title and word art were added to complete the page.

Thank you for looking!

I love to see the style evolution. The current version is much cleaner I think. I love the arrangement of the photos with the horizon line, and the added white space.
