Text reads: Our amaranthus is a magnet for finches, who align themselves on the fronds and methodically pick out the seeds like they're on an assembly linewhen they're done, the frond becomes a droopy brown plume. It took me a while to get around to planting the seeds from Eva's Bird Garden kit, but when I finally got them into the pots in my deckscape, I was hoping for something like this to happen. For a bird lover, there's not much better than a ringside seat to a bird buffet. But there's more. Just taking those few minutes a day to look out the window and watch the patterns of nature is not only refreshing to the spirit, it adds perspective, in this bizarre election season, to a world that sometimes seems like it's spinning out of control.

Notes for Photoshop Elements 14

My inspiration for this design was the vertical word strip that Miki used in her layout here: https://ozone.oscraps.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=357742&title=what-do-you-see-3f&cat=1351 So I went outside, snapped the photo of my amaranthus plant, blended it into Artsy Paper #2 with inverted masking, then added my word strip. From there I proceeded to add all the Beaded Threadz (grabbing a D from Fabulous Word Art Mix #1 to make the word Food and a T from Beaded Threadz No. 3 for Fest). Then I did the journaling and embellishing. At the end, mainly because I just can't resist Artsy Transfers, I dropped #4 midway into the layer stack and moved the pieces up, down, over, and under.
Beautiful colors, great journaling and love the beaded words! This is gorgeous. I love listening to the birds, not the crows in the field, but the song birds in our yard. Wish I could recognize their chirps.

Love the wonderful fall colors and how you used the beaded words and repetition of the little red leaves.
