Notes for Photoshop Elements 14

After pulling the template into a new file, I turned off all the layers except for the big paint layer, where I knew I wanted to put my main photo. For the smaller photo, I grabbed the frame from the Artplay Palette and positioned it directly over where the three template frames had been. I gave the frame an outline drop shadow and clipped in the photos.

I did the title and journaling next and then turned the template layers back on, one by one. I kept most of them, moving and recoloring some and changing the blending modes where needed. Overlays, transfers, and brushes came nextI used these to augment the background, to alter the frame, to crease the paper in the small photo, and to color part of the telescope brown.

Birds and embellishments came last.
