Me and Magritte

This layout really evolved. The challenge was to use a surrealist painting as inspiration. I started out making the ATC on the right, inspired by the painting by Rene Magritte on the left. Then I decided to do a "full size" layout to show both my interpretation AND the original. Thus this 8.5x11 layout called "Me and Magritte" (I know that is not proper English, but it sounds better with the two "m" sounds). Anyway, I added two other parts of images from Magritte's paintings (the man looking at the paintings and the apple). LOVE how it turned out, even if I DO say so myself. LOL
CREDITS: Based on "The Treachery of Images by Rene Magritte; PHOTO: the late Little John of Wolf Haven; KITS: Old World Overlays and Winters Spell by Lynne Anzelc; 1st Kristmess by Kristmess; Fantabulous Fall by Kim Jensen; FROM WEB: Son of Man and Decalcomania by Rene Magritte
I can see why you love it. I was immediately drawn to it from the thumbnails. Love the touch of the apple. And I love that you recognize the grammatical issue. Most people don't. "Me and _______" has become the norm. Many of the college-educated people in my sphere use it as a matter of course. If only they knew how uneducated it made them sound. :'( (I too, have used it for art purposes before, thinking it made a statement. Nobody gets the "statement" these days!)

I'm so glad you decided to add the inspiration painting and create a full page. This is absolutely great. The references to Magritte's work are perfect. ( I agree with SharLamb's comments about grammar.)
