Notes for Photoshop Elements 14
I like to paint with Artsy Transfers, which is what I did here, creating a landscape around my daughter being videoed on a beach. I started with a neutral patterned paper (#2) from the Sea Life artplay palette for a base. Then I positioned the photo (lightly altered with the Prisma app), blended out most of the background, and extended the ocean on each side of the photo with Artsy Transfers. More Artsy Transfers gave me sand and sky. I blended in some stripes from an artsy paper (#3), and finished up the background with the chevron and purple brushwork.

For embellishment I duplicated the sea grass until I had enough stalks then blended them into the background using different blending modes and opacities. I grunged up the title by clipping a sky Artsy Transfer to it on color dodge mode.

As a last touch, I created a raised effect by duplicating the file, flattening it, cropping it, and dragging it back onto the original canvas as a new layer. I used a modest soft-edge drop shadow to make it stand out. The Multimedia Shells brought some nice color to the bottom corner.
Love the photo. The frame and matting with toning. The wordArt. The wind breaker. The repetition.

I love looking at a design that literally makes me stop and say, "Wow!" You have accomplished that with this design: the multiple layers of blending, the bevelled framing, and the artsy painting.

Great page, there is so much to look at, details that beg one to take another look!!!

Love that you gave a much detailed explanation of your process. Absolutely amazing. The blending of your additions is unbelievable-just seamless! Like the stripe repetition and the camera lenses.

So fun! Thanks for your explanation on how you did this! I can tell I am going to learn so many cool things here!

love how the framing draws you into the design. and the colors are better than beach (hope you understand that, hahaha.)

Love how you created a landscape for the photo and I really love the repetition of the rectangular/square shape! Stunning!!
