Blossoming Sophia

This is another shot Autumn took of her sister in the early evening light. I love the softness of the light just before the sun set behind the hills. I love using these photos. My Granddaughter is a fine photographer and Sophia is a natural model. She can hold the camera with her eyes like nobodys business. I noticed that a few years ago. No wonder Autumn loves photographing her.

Process Notes: I used all the parts of the MultiFoto Painted Template and didnt make any alterations and I chose artsy paper 1 from the Blossom Palette as the background to compliment the photo.

After bringing in the photo, resizing and positioning, I duplicated it 8 more times and positioning each copy above each template mask and clipping the photo to the masks using the opt/alt key while holding down the mouse button on the line between the layers. I did experiment with drop shadows, but didnt like the look. However, I did play with blending modes and turning down the opacity of others. I left the masks with Sophia in them at 100% opacity on Normal.

Bringing in some psd artsy transfers, placing parts above the photos in the upper right corner and along the left grid masks, blending those. The colors of the Blossom palette worked beautifully with the colors in the photo.

Using a brush from Blooming Marvelous I stamped the word blossom adding the Urban Threadz leaf and from Artsy Blooms I placed the flowers in the bottom right corner. In the upper right corner I added the loopdaloop and tape and from APP Blossom I placed the rose in Sophias hair.

Under the corner flowers I put word art and the splatters and along the left edge I put the wildflowers stamp. I added the ButterflyGlows over the photo at the top, blending that with a lowered opacity. Underneath the mask grid I added the spirit stains and artsy stains, using colors from the photo.

Then under all of that I added FotoInspired Edge Template which comes in wonderful psd layers that can be manipulated as you see fit. Using colors from both the photo and paper I recolored parts of it and blended giving the layout subtle added depth and color. Over everything I used the Flower Overlay edge using a pink shade from the Blossom palette.

With a couple of fonts and word art I added Sophias name and quote to complete the layout.
Thanks for the very detailed description. Love the placement of the flower

Beautiful golden lighting! Love the grid with the stitching outlining it! And your granddaughter is gorgeous!

Love the work of your granddaughters, both the photographer and the model, and yours, too. The softness coming to crispness at the focal point of the page, the color gradient. Nice!

Awesome template use. Love the work your Gdaughters do together. The fading light approach is stunning.

Love the happy colors and the stiches over the frame, the girl is beautiful!
