This challenge was to used a famous surreal work as an inspiration. I've been a fan of Rene Magritte's whimsical and mysterious art since college, so I chose his work, The Man in a Bowler Hat. Magritte used his own image as the man. Juxtaposing ordinary elements in unusual ways was a key theme in Magritte's work. I juxtaposed my hair on the man and created a more painterly sky background.
