Love this. I made friends with a cormorant once. On a beach. He paddled over from a shallow pool and settled onto a rock near me for the night. It was early evening and still light enough and I watched as he groomed himself then went still. All he wanted to do was sleep but I kept taking photos of him LOL A friend painted a picture of him as a gift and it's hanging on a wall in my house so I won't ever forget getting up close and personal to a wild bird. Thank you for reminding me of it.

Cormorants, whatever their name, are such interesting birds and you've got a super page for the shags. Really like the blue design under the large photo.
