Journaling:
On Saturday we headed out before 5 am for the rough and rutted Devil Mountain Road. At the end of the road the fire tower was gone and there were just communication towers. The mountain was far too overgrown to see any of the scenic views we were expecting.

Intriguing layout--it took me a little bit to find the tower in the right-hand corner. The trees really complement your journaling. EVERYTHING tells the story here. Bravo!

I have to agree, you told the story here perfectly. Love the circle around the medallion and the communication tower tucked in the corner. The stitched trees are inspirational and wonderful textures. Makes me wonder if we still have the observation towers in the surrounding mountains that were once upon a time manned during the summers. A person would live in each one of them and supplies brought up to them during the season.

oh this is perfect! you made your own tree view! I love those geological survey markers (and the way it is circled), and this makes me want to use a tag on my next page ;-)
