AnnaLift-Sophia Visits D of C

Sophia went to Philly and DC this month with her cousins and Nana. She loved the view of DC from every angle atop the Washington Monument. She will always remember the powerful experience of the Holocaust Museum and she said the Lincoln Memorial almost brought tears to her eyes. It was a very special trip shell remember for the rest of her life.

Process Notes: Starting with artsy paper 1 which took care of the linear design of the AnnaLift, I added the photo to the painted mask I placed on the left side of the paper. I duplicated the photo two more times. The blend modes respectively are: The mask is Pin Light at 100% opacity, the first photo Normal/100% opacity, second photo Screen/64% opacity and the third photo is Soft Light/100% opacity.

Underneath the photo layers I placed the ScriptTease frame, brushing out parts of it on the side and over Sophias face. I recolored the bottom part of it with a brush using CMD while clicking on the frame thumbnail in the layers panel bringing up the marching ants.

I created the title on several different layers so I could manipulate them separately, using different blending modes. After creating a rectangle under the word visit, I grunged it up a bit with a brush and gave it a little drop shadow.

From there it was pretty straight forward, using brushes, the brad and charm from the Palette and adding the journaling and date. That completes this layout.
I like the horizontal construction of this page as well as the frame(supervision)!

Beautiful linear layout. I know what Sophia means about the Holocaust Museum. So much history in D.C. and so much to learn and remember...the Korean War and Vietnam War Memorials touched me especially deeply. Can't wait to go back.

A wonderful documentation of a memorable trip. The Wall brings me to tears each time we visit. So many of my friends are named. Love the horizontal design and that great selfie!

Awesome page! Love the beautiful blending and the amazing color effects! Fabulous and creative!
