SF MOMA 2

Last week I spent a day at the newly reopened San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. If you visit SF, you must go, it's fabulous. These pictures are from the oculus in the original building, the amazing living wall outside in the sculpture garden, and Richard Serra's 'sequence' sculpture.

Being modern art, I wanted simple lines, so I created a simple grid of photo masks and just added a bit of photo blending in the background.

Anna Aspnes ArtPlay Palette Sophistica papers and transfers is the only thing I used.
These photos are amazing - fabulous double pages - prefect blends and touches ;)

Beautiful photos! Love the simple lines and how the light streams through the windows!

Love the order in the page design that matches the structural order in the beautiful architecture. And maybe most of all the blended background photo.

We were there during previews when I visited my daughter--I love the Richard Serras! We have a collection of his sculptures here in NY, too. It truly is a fabulous museum. The funny thing was that we were there on one of the last days before the museum closed for renovations--kind of like the circle coming 'round. Beautiful pages, and the "cataloging" approach works as well here as it does for the wildflowers (which I saw first).
