Journaling:
On Wednesday again there was snow and it was mostly cloudy. Remember the seats in front of the fire with huckleberry ice cream.

Built in 1904, Old Faithful Inn is 4 stories tall with a large great room. It's a nice place to be stuck when it's snowing. The massive rock fireplace is impressive. It's made of 500 tons of rock quarried locally (within 5 miles of the site), and has withstood a 7.5 earthquake. All of the timber was also harvested locally. The photos of the dark interior were taken on a dark day with a cellphone.

The timber framing is magnificent. The spread does it justice--the way the brown comes down in a massive sweep from the other page just screams "solidity"! I like that acrylic "See" too, almost missed it at first. Love subtle touches like that.

I love how you brought the stain over to the lodge, giving the impression of it's massiveness. That would be a wonderful fireplace to sit in front of during a snow storm. Wouldn't be able to budge me.

love the photo (sketches) from inside the lodge! gorgeous page, love the colors and I am not sure I would be eating ice cream with snow outside and a fire LOL! awesome page!

I remember this building....very nice photo treatment. Nice textures and colors to bring out the timbers.
