While I studied the fractal patterns in the geyser pools, you spotted a mountain bluebird at the top of a nearby dead pine tree.

I made this page because sometimes it's hard to remember this is all very hot water with signs to not step off the boardwalks.

great photo spread across the pages, love the insert as well. Yellowstone is such a remarkable place. Lassen in California is not quite as dramatic, but the hot pools (yes, with boardwalks) are fascinating!
