More of the giant redwoods. In case it's hard to tell from the pictures, these trees are as much as 250-300 feet tall and 25-30 feet in diameter at 6 feet above the ground.

It was sunnier on Sunday morning as we arrived at the park bright and early for our hike in the South Grove, an area I had not seen before. The South Grove crossed over the Big Trees Creek in several places
with lovely bridges
spanning the shallow but present waters.
The trails were so nice, soft from the rains and the compost of an old
coniferous
forest.
