This really isn't out of the box for me! I seldom use a 12x12 format for layouts I print, because I print them myself, and my printer doesn't accommodate that size. But more importantly, I just prefer the 8.5 x 11 size visually, and for handling. I put my printed scrapbook pages in clear page protectors with 3-hole punches. Albums for 8.5 x 11 pages are much more readily available, cost much less, and they are way easier for little kids to manage. My grandchildren all LOVE looking through their family albums.

I also make all my greeting cards. I've even made actions to set up pages in the style and size I want (ie. top fold 5x7, side fold 5x7, side fold #10 envelope, etc.)
