ColorChallenge - Got a Quarter Anyone?

You dont see many of these anymore. I just wonder how many of the younger generation know how to use a pay phone. I wonder if I know how to use a pay phone. Do I put the quarter in the slot before I dial, or after I dial? The phone was taken out recently, leaving an unsightly empty hole, but the business owner has left the doghouse looking thingy on the outside of his building, letting everyone know what was once there. Its taken some abuse and people leave garbage in it.

Process Notes: After processing my photo and extracting it from the background, I placed and resized it over the background paper and four transfers from SnapShot. I placed one transfer over another at the top left of the page and blended the top transfer to Color Burn at 63% opacity. All the other transfers are on Normal blend mode with 100% opacity. I blended the photo to Multiply and left it at that.

I used overlays at the top left corner and on the right side under the brush work from Vitality. I also used various other brushes from SnapShot, to add texture and interest. Using the line tool for the first time to draw the lines as Adryane Driscoll described in ArtPLAY UnEdited 2. It was such a treat to see her process, I ate up every minute.

After adding the buttons, wire and button thread, I added the title using bevel and emboss and the journaling. For the finishing touches I placed the glows over the pay phone and under the journaling blending and turning down the opacity.
Cool nostalgic page and journaling--sparks me to remember my first computer, a big XT with floppy drives. And cassette players and calculators that were as big as Vermont....

Very nostalgic! A delightful page--love the dark bg and your use of the various threads and buttons.

Oh, I can remember using pay phones growing up. After school, we'd always stop and use a pay phone to call friends, since we were restricted on phone use minutes at home. haha This brings back lots of memories. I like your "time is up" quote. Fun layout and love those numbers at the bottom.

Congratulations! You've been spotlighted on the Gallery Standouts Blog today! http://gallerystandouts.com/fingerpointing/2016/finger-pointing-may-15th-4/

Back in the day, phone calls were only a dime! Wonderful trip down memory lane! Congrats on the GSO!

Congrats on the GSO! This is a fun page about old memories and relics. Now I wonder if I could find an old phone booth in my town.
