Our dog is old--18, with physical and cognitive issues. This story is about one magic moment and how we have discovered that, as strange as it may sound, there can be beauty and comfort even as we walk the road to one of life's most difficult transitions. PS: In the big photo, Charley is NOT grimacing. He is actually doing his version of "singing."

Process
I chose pp. 6-7 of the Tribute Album because it had generous journaling space and mine was a long story to tell. The template was graceful just as is, even with all that journaling, so my changes were minimalsince my photos are busy, I turned off many of the interest layers like stains and paints and added my own choices of Artsy Transfers and Overlays. I also substituted in a Fotoblendz at the bottom right for the masked frame that came with the template to avoid an awkward crop on the photo. Since I self-print at 8x8, I also enlarged the type to 13 with a leading of 16 so it would be readable in my album. The background is a blend of solid paper #2 over solid paper #1 on overlay with an Artsy Transfer on the left side for color and texture. Another transfer is behind the blended photo at lower right, to help transition it into the background. My finishing touches were minimal--the title, buttons and Threadz, and the repetitions of the big clock, to symbolize time passing.
