Challenge 4: About Me

Okay, this challenge was about something in your life right now. I was gonna do a design about chocolate, which I do consume daily, but brown is not my favorite color. I finally decided to focus on words. I come from a family of voracious readers, so I do read daily. (Oh, I'm always looking for good book recommendation. Please let me know if you've discovered a new favorite.) I was programmed to be an English teacher, but revolted my senior year. By an odd fluke, I ended up in high-tech advertising and marketing communications. Writing became my career. While words will always be my first love, art is quickly becoming my secondperhaps even replacing chocolate!

Used Anna's papers, brushes and transfers from APP Learn, Scholarly, and WordPlay. Ghosted a fun ad of mine too.

Thanks for looking.
It was fun to learn this about you. I've been a reader/writer all my life too, and even earned some money at it. I love your typewriter, the notebook paper, inky splatsl, and your ghosted ad.

This is so interesting to read and a great page as well, love it!! It's funny how things turn out in our lives, and chocolate is always a good idea regardless of career ;)

I love how you integrated the old typewriter and the modern and futuristic modes of writing. I love grungy so the smudging and splattering made me smile.

Just love a layout that tells a personal story in artsy style! Journalism is my undergrad degree...went back to school at 40 to get masters in counseling/psychology...the first actually served me well in the latter! A fave book of mine...cause I can't get enough stolen art stories! The Music Lesson: A Novel Paperback
by Katharine Weber

Words do not come naturally to me. I envy you! Wonderful page about you and love the images you used to depict your story!

No,no, you're supposed to consume the chocolate while writing, so keep it handy!! All the reading has no doubt made you the writer you are; it's probably the most powerful predictor:)

Words are my background, too, and have seen me through several careers so I relate to this. If you haven't tried Louise Penny yet, I highly recommend the Armand Gamache series (start with #1). Another series I like is Jacqueline Winspear's Maisie Dobbs. PS: The little robot guy made me smile.
