Process:
I extracted the photo, made it big, and placed it on the page. I cycled through all the artsy papers in the Getaway Artplay Palette, with the photo on various blending modes, but the trouble was that the paper I likedArtsy Paper #1looked good on one side with overlay blend mode, but totally faded on the other side. I solved this by duplicating the paper, flipping it horizontally, and then masking away the overlapping parts of both papers with layer masks to create a bookmatched effect.

I placed the framed photo next, added the title and journaling, and began work on the background. I used transfers and overlays from the Artplay Palette for that, and then, for texture, color, and depth, used several coordinating Artsy Transfers on top of the big photo, on various blending modes. To give the top some weight, I enlarged a word strip and blended it into the background on color burn mode and I liked how that looked so I duplicated the word strip and moved sections of it to the bottom, to reinforce the band design. Then I got bitten by the word-strip-o-mania bug and placed a bunch of them along the frame.

A few buttons and light from several Fotoglos completed this layout.
This devoted bridesmaid equals lots of fun! Fabulous blending of photos, transfers, and glows!

You are a master in full pages, great what you've done with this page, so much to see, great pictures and treatment, I love it!

This is such a happy page with that photo, love the way you've colored the photo!!

Your daughter knows how to throw a party! Love all the happy faces and all the labeled word strips! I get bitten by that bug occasionally, too! Gorgeous page, Laura!

so dynamic and happy, love the photo on photo, yet with a bit of white space, great use of word strips...they look better in multiples ;-)

I bet she's a terrific choice for a bridesmaid! love all faces in the background. looks like a party! i also really like the division of the page.
