Springtime in Austin

Yep, everything is blooming in Austin. Even the famous bluebonnets. Snapped this glorious tree the other day, but I don't know what it is. Can you knowledgeable garden ladies help me? It's the most beautiful color. Gotta love Mother Nature in her finest display.

Update: Thanks to two smart ladies, Marnie and Femke272, it's has been identified as a redbud tree. More info from Femke272: in French it's called " Arbre de Judee." Thanks, again, ladies!

Used a watercolor fotoBlendz and APP Spring Due.

Thanks for looking.
I know I love the coordination of the title with the tree. No idea of the tree, though. But from here in NY, taxonomy isn't the thing--it's enough that it looks like Spring to me!

Looks like a well- shaped red bud to me...sometimes difficult to grow around here, but oh so beautiful!Isn't spring glorious!

My first thought was a lilac, the color is so close, but no matter what it is, you've created a beautiful page!!

Yep, I'm like Marnie, has to be a RedBud Tree; I didn't knew the English name but in French it's called " Arbre de Judee" and his official latin name is: Cercis siliquastrum. No doubt because he's always blooming before having his leaves coming out. That's why it is that beautiful, like your page!!

A beautiful tree. We have a magnolia that blooms twice. Once without leaves. It's a wonderful look. The dots are a lovely touch.
