Journaling: For a long time Andrew did not like his picture taken. We tried all sorts of different techniquest to get his picture. He would close his eye real tight and think that we didnt get a picture if his eyes were closed. Nicholas tried the hold his eyes open from behind technique, which seemed to be fairly successful only this one time. We tried cajoling in all manner of silliness, most of the time to no avail. Sometimes if you could distract him enough and had ahold of his arms you could get a decent picture. We sure had fun trying. For a little guy, he knew what he wanted (or didnt want). Finally, just not taking his photo or taking it from afar while he was elsewhere engaged worked out the best. Nov-Dec, 2001
