Fiolstraede is one of the Central streets of the medieval city in Copenhagen. It goes parallel with Nrregade and runs from Skindergade through Jorcks Passage, and up to the small space a little unknown, they last about 100 years, has been called Egg square-side-by-side and Nrre voldgade at Noerreport Station. Along the street is, among other things, the Church of our Lady (back), University of Copenhagen, the main building, and the building that was formerly Daells Varehus. The "new-historical" department store closed 31. March 1999, and building houses today, after a major renovation, inter alia. Hotel Skt. Petri, which is considered one of Denmark's best hotels, as well as the cocktail bar/caf "Dalle Valle". The street is also known to accommodate a number of antique stores and bookshops. In november 2015, there was, however, only four bookshops, respectively. Vangsgaards books, Vangsgaards Antikvariat, The French Bogcaf and Paludan Bogcaf back, the latter of which, as the name also suggests, today's more a caf than a bookstore. Vangsaards Antikvariat is applied for bankruptcy and closes at Christmas in 2015.

Fiolstraede has since 1968 been pedestrian; It should, however, like to run with respect to unification, as well as pedestrian priority.
