Find Delight

Normally I dont have photos facing out of the layout like this, but when I flipped it to face into the layout, it just didnt work. This way you wonder what could be out there. I love this Palette! It comes at just the right time when the winter drearies are still out my windows. A breath of fresh air with the beautiful colors. Thank you Anna!

Font: Awesome Darling
Awesome photo taken by my daughter Jackie Houston Reed

Process Notes: I used Artsy Paper 2, turning it to better accommodate my chosen photo and put the photo on the built-in transfer and duplicated it a couple of times more, blending with Color Burn at 21% opacity and Overlay at 59% opacity after using the gradient tool and brushing a wee bit at the top sky area with Annablendz Artsey No. 3 brush. Fabulous brushes!

I put one of the brushes from the palette at the top of the layout where the other built-in transfer is. Kind of an abstract sun shining down on the deck chairs. There was no sun that day.

At this point I got the word art I wanted and placed it adding my own words in the Awesome Darling font.

Then it was time for the MultiMedia Spring No. 3 using all the layers and leaving them on Normal blend mode. From the MultiMedia I took the flower and one of the leaves and placed it on the right edge of the page. Underneath it I put overlay 2 and brush 7 recoloring it to a shade of pink from the palette. I also used ArtStroke 1 on the bottom left.

For the elements I used the little crocheted flower, button and threadz, placing them over the MultiMedia. There you have it.
Love the color and the wordart! The tiny crocheted flower is perfect!

Love those chairs, and it reminds me of a photo in my archives...at a cottage rental where we sipped wine and watched the tide in the Bay of Fundy ebb and flow. You've inspired me!

A great job, I love the Artsy look and how you've blended, the bright colors are really beautiful!

i like the outward facing photo. it creates a nice tension in the page and i wonder what i would see if i sat in any one of those chairs. love the bit of sunshine at the top of the page.
