Cactus in Bloom

I am a huge fan of the talented artists in this gallery that change photos into stunning artwork by using filters. I am always amazed by their workartists like Marleen, ValeJules, Adryane, Linda, Miki, Margje...I could go on and on. (This is just a short list limited by space restrictions.) They've inspired me to play more with filters. That's what I did with this iPhone snap of a blooming cactus. I keep adding layers, changing blend modes and masking, because the actual snap was kinda blah.. It took a while, but it was so much fun watching the transformation.

Oh, if you use filterswhat do you use? I basically use the PS filters, but do you have any favorites (other than Waterlogue)? Any cool apps or programs?

ArtPlayPalette papers, transfers, brushes and frame from MiniPalette Thanks. Used FotoGlows Mix and FotoBlendz Overlays too.

Thanks for looking!
Very cool effect! Love the blues you pulled out of the shadows. I'm no help on the filters. If I keep doing the same things a lot, I create actions.

Truly stunning results! I agree, "fun watching the transformation"...one of my fave apps is Glaze...so fun!

I'm at the tip of the iceberg with filters so can't share any news about that...but I DO know this is beautiful! I think I'll be following along in your footsteps soon! I installed the DistressedFX app on my phone a while ago, but haven't even opened it. Like I said...soon!

The photo turned out beautiful! Love the blending and white space. I love the desert!

Love what you did with your photo, your phone has some wonderful apps, my favorite is Waterlogue!!

beautiful result. i have waterlogue envy but you need an i-device. i like the watercolor filter in ps.
