So Nigel sees this video on YouTube "The 10 Cutest Pets of All Time" and he becomes obsessed with getting a hedgehog!!! Who gets a hedgehog for a pet?!? Where do you even go to get one?!? But, being the best dad in the world and all, I didn't automatically rule it out. I told him that he had to do more research ... "Where do you get them"?, "How much do they cost"?, "What do they eat"?, "How much space do they take up"?, etc... So, after about a month of researching (and a fair ammount of begging)! we brought rosie home from a private breeder on Jan 15. I have to admit she is adorable! She's miserable when she first wakes up and will hiss and puff out her her spines (which are sharp when they're sticking out but otherwise feel more like a bristle brush). She's also very sloppy, (turning over her food and water dishes every night). But we love her and are glad she's part of the family.
