I made 3 copies of my photo. On the bottom layer I used Filter> Find Edges and enhanced the contrast with Levels. The 2nd copy was set to Vivid Light Blend mode. I merged these 2 layers then used reverse masking (ALT+layer mask icon) to give a black mask on both this layer and the remaining photo layer. I painted on these masks with black and white and various brushes to get the effect I liked. I then created a composite of this, duplicated it and set the top layer to Hard Light. Finally I added a canvas texture to the photo. I imported a paper with texture then enlarged my photo to fit the page and used Filter>Find Edges and set the blending mode to Pin Light. Various brushes and transfers were used under this layer and a few on top with reduced opacity on some. A warped frame was added along with a brad and a quote.
I think it's working! I love the sketchiness -- the real photo -- but then; top left ... blending of new flowers. It's like an entire courtyard. Great job!
