when tulip met zinnia... a love story

Ok.. I was just having some fun.. After reading Winnie the Pooh yesterday to the great-granddaughter,I created a story,lol.. I found two old layouts that were kind of meh... then I used them to create a page.I needed a story so,the title emerged. I had some fun, probably didn't win any literary or artistic awards, but it is Monday after all.Try it sometime, take an old layout, use it as the background or blend two old layouts together and you will be amazed at the result.Lots of fun along the way, too!!! Throw in a new Artsy Transfer and away you go...

I used

I started with layers from the ArtsyTransfers Chatter, moving them around, recoloring and turning some off that were not needed. Then I imported my first "old" layout, placed a mask and using brushes from APP Chatter, painted back what I wanted visible. An artsy paper from APP Shine was the next layer, and the blending mode was color burn. For the next layers I used the threadz, button and some more transfers and overlays from ArtsyTransfers Chatter. On the top layer,I placed the second layout, decreased the opacity to 49% and changed the blending mode to color burn.I liked it and quit!
I don't completely understand, but whatever you did, it sure is a fun and bright page ... when tulip met zinnia ... I think you might be on to something here -- a new line of children's books, perhaps? :)

It's awesome to experiment and play like this! Love that too! Your page is energetic and very eyecatching!

I agree, eyecatching! I didn't know what it was at first glance, but I sure did like it! Sounds interesting for kids, they could use their imaginations to figure out "what it is!"
Maybe childrens; books as suggested!

That is just a brilliant idea of throwing a couple of meh layouts together and see what happens! It certainly worked very well for you here. The color and energy jump off the page. Stories float around in my head also. Love it!
