I enhanced my photo a bit and then I opened the template. I clipped my photo on all the frame masks after I merged them together. I placed a copy of the photo in the same place, knowing I should use it later. I deleted the shadow layers and placed the frames from the template above the photo. Above the duplicated first photo layer I colored all the stains and textures and paint from the template in colors from the photo and gave them different blend modes. Some textures were duplicated to sharpen them! I made a composite layer that way you have merged everything you did, but still have every layer to go back to! I placed a transfer on the upper left side of the page. I added the frames and gave them a style! I placed a copy of the photo on top of the frames and masked a part of the leg and foot back in with a layermask. I gave it some drop shadow with the warp tool. I placed the text and title filled with colors from the photo. I used parts of the word art with my title. I placed the MultiMedia hearts. I found that the boy was too subtle in the background so I masked only the boy in on the background. I masked in some texture for some more interest!
