The Process: I deleted the transfer layers I didnt need on the template and recolored the stains from the ArtPlay Palette Glacial to give the impression of cold temperatures and I like how it looks on the snow. On the background layer I used a paper from the Glacial Palette and clipped the photo of my garage and walkway to the transfer. The first layer of the photo is normal, second copy of photo is screen and the third layer is soft light.

I didnt want the neighbors house showing in the layout, so I stamped a brush over it, placed the Snow Sprinklez and branch with pine cones over that. No chance of that house coming through.

I added the Winter Word Mix into the snow bank and at the top of the page, turning down the opacity.

For the fun of it, I used the art strokes in the template to draw a grouchy face of myself with my pen and tablet. Got to keep my sense of humor.

Under the 2 clipped and framed photos I added the MultiMedia Winter No. 2 snowflakes to follow the art stroke in the template, another stain I recolored to match the Palette and the stitches under my silly little drawing. Added the staples to the framed photos and my title and journaling to complete this layout.

When I know Ive finished my layout without a doubt, I clean up my layers, making sure Ive deleted everything that was turned off, then select the whole layout, Cmd/A, go to Image and Crop, so anything that is over the edges is deleted. Cuts down on the file size and everything is nice a neat and tidy.
What a great use of the template, the background you've created is super, like the colors! Great use of the mask, I love the blending and texture, I also love the beautiful pictures and how you've placed the elements, so beautiful!

Wow that is a LOT of snow. When I last shoveled more than 2 tons in 1 go, I opted for a snow blower. Never missed that heavy shoveling!

I couldn't do it, the snow. Not physically able so I would likely get angry too :) But that's why I live in CA...we're getting El Nino, but in the form of much-needed rain. But good to capture all this, I like the little angry face :) and what a great set of cleanup tips! I check for turned off layers and merge down colors and such, but never thought to clip the whole page :)

Love the glimpses of the shovels and snow in the photos. They tell the story all my themselves! Lots of snow ... that's why we migrate to Florida in the winter. Wonderful page!

Ughhh shovelling snow is not my favourite thing to do either!! Glad you found the time to make this great page!!

Can't imagine what it's like but love your page!

Thanks for the idea of image/crop. I often go over the edges.
