The Lady of the Family
This photo was taken from inside,so excuse the quality. The female cardinal was pecking at the window,so I just happened to have the camera near. She always lets the male eat from the feeder, then she eats off the ground. Well,it works in their relationship, but may not be the best thing in others. She is quite beautiful and obviously is getting enough to eat,so that's the story. They are entertaining to watch and enjoyable each day.

A background paper from APP Embrace Life was selected and placed at the bottom of the layers stack. I then placed brushes on separate layers from AnnaBlendz Artsy 6 using the color palette from the Color Challenge. Artsy transfers from APP Moments were then stacked on top of the brush layers. Next the WaterColor FotoBlendz and an APP moments brush were merged to create a clipping mask for the photo. The image was clipped and moved to the desired spot. I chose buttons from APP Embrace Life and used the MultiMedia Winter 2_5 psd, which was placed below the image and along the border of the design. I finished with WordART from Winter WordART Mix 1,placing it to the right side of the page.
Love your story--the birds are always so interesting to watch. She does look like she is getting her fair share of the food. Your blue BG is such a change--like!

Great capture through your window, you sure know their habits. Now can I say it, I'm glad I'm not a female bird as it wouldn't work for me, lol.

Our cardinals have the exact same behavior, but yet in the Spring, the tables turn, when the female may or may not accept the seed offering that seals the breeding deal. As you say, it does seem to work for them.... I really like the background and colors of this page, kind of looks like if a Lady Cardinal had a room of her own, she'd make it look something like you've shown here. :)
