http://www.oscraps.com/shop/AnnaBlendz-Artsy-No.-4.html

fonts used: for the text I used papyrus condensed
and for the title I used painted regular

ALT #218 was imported, all layers were turned off.
Some were deleted, others resized and recolored.I used 2 images and used inverted masking technique on both using Anna blends artsy brushes. One was clipped to the paint layers which I had merged and resized to fit the merged layers. Artsy paper 4 from the APP Aspera was used as a background. Then I worked my way up the layer stack, deleting some and recoloring and moving some. I completed my text and title with fonts. The elements were placed last. Warm glow was added above the text box, size adjusted and blend mode overlay applied.

Thanks for looking!!

Journaling: This year the beloved nutcracker collection of 40 years was passed on to the youngest grandson. He made a personal request and I was thrilled to oblige. Many memories were in that collection for both of us. Then when I dragged out the Christmas decor,I realized that the collection filled so many nooks and crannies throughout the house, that some spots seemed bare.So I discovered this little sparkly tree to place on a table and it seemed somewhat to fill the gap. All the decor is packed in boxes and now back in the storage room but I left the tree out. It seems that it is an excellent catcher of the afternoon sun rays coming into the sunroom. It is so pretty to see and adds so much fun to a winter afternoon. So,the grandson is happy and I have a new treasure to enjoy.
Love the journaling! The idea of letting go of one thing and appreciating something else all the more is so wonderful!

What a lovely story and the tree, the page are so pretty and have such wonderful light! Beautiful use of the products and I like the colors coming through that look like quilts :)

Precious story. How wonderful that your DGS wanted the collection! Your LO is rich and stunning.

what a wonderful collection to hand down, but I bet it did leave a void. Your tree sounds wonderful - love how precious your journaling is.

I love this story. I hand off things, too, to the younger generation. The joy that brings is worth the moments of missing. I like how your tree is growing out of the tape and that the harlequin border near the text repeats behind the tree. It's funny you merged those paint layers, too. That's the first thing I did. :)

I love the harlequin ... What a cherished possession you passed along; but I, too, love the idea that now two people are extremely happy. You can be at peace knowing the love of your nutcrackers will continue on ... and you found a new treasure. Interesting how life works. Beautiful page.

Love how things get passed down to younger generations. They become special heirlooms. Beautiful page!
