Process:
My holiday albums chronicle my family's personal growth as well as our traditions and the fun of our gatherings. Coming off almost a week of houseguests, and seeing my kids' astonishment when they viewed past albums, I was inspired to document some personal emotional growth that occurred this year.
The process of this page was freeform and based on experimenting with blending modes on just about everything. I started with a Hipster Plume Fotoblendz and the large (poor quality) photo, duplicating both and clicking through the modes for various effects. I then added the framingI love the little dots at the edges of the FotoInspired Plastic Pockets, especially with different blend modes, and find I use them a lot in all sorts of ways. Everything was up at the right-hand corner, and I decided I wanted things centered, so I highlighted everything and dragged all the layers to the middle. The title and journaling came next. From there I added the little photo, also of poor quality, enhancing it with one of the Time Artsy Transfers; I also used these transfers as part of the background. I added in the brushwork, giving it texture by dragging in just the Hipster Plume layers of the Fotoblendz, recoloring things as I went along. At the end I found that I wanted a bit more blue so added the buttons, and then, as a last step, added the Stitchez and a few of the taped textures, including clipping one of the taped textures to the first part of the title.
