I have a large collection of Christmas ornaments that I began back when I was a kid. I decided to scrap some of them to tell their story. Here is my first ornament page for this year.
Journaling reads: I created ornaments for everyone at work this year using polymer clay applied to glass ornaments. This was one of my favorites for the year, created by extruding clay through a clay gun and then taking the long threads of clay, and creating designs with coils of clay. It was a fun and easy way to make an ornament that everyone loved.

Process Notes: I began with the medium green cardstock from APP Brimming. I added the Hipster Plume FotoBlendz to it, and attached the photo to the clipping mask. I changed the hipster plume layer to a green, and the stain to a white color. I added various transfers and brush work for APP Brimming. I added the WordART, changing it to white. I added the Christmas brush work in the lower right, also adding various elements from APP Brimming. I added the journaling. At this point, I didnt think the page pop enough, so I added the thin frame. I then copied the photo placing in on top of the frame, I then used inverted masking to place just the ornament on top of the frame. I added a slight shadow to it to make it stand out a bit more. I then added the artstroke, turning it white, and the year using the glitter alpha. I still didnt think it popped enough so I began playing around with the color of the background paper. I deepened it, and turned it a bit to the blue side, and felt it helped the ornament. I then added the sparkle dots, behind the top layer of the photo, so it showed up on the back photo but not on the ornament. I changed the dot color to a soft green. I added more dots to the lower right. Changing the color of the background paper in my opinion really made a big difference. Finally done.
