This Thanksgiving, for the first time since our children grew up my husband and I went traveling. We went to London, which was about 37 degrees Celcius. I'm Californian, so that was cold!

The London Eye is a popular tourist attraction. Even though it was raining, there were long lines for tickets and to actually get on. But they were both very fast moving lines (about a 15 minute wait to get a ticket, and the ride itself accepted 15-17 people at a time). The London Eye itself was much stabler than I expected; even at the highest point I was comfortable standing. The fact that it was raining so I had to do that to really see much played a part too, of course.

The Thames River is kind of a muddy yellow.
