Process:
The rock 'n roll pages for my daughter's band scrapbook are always challenging because of the lack of photo qualityin this case, I grabbed stills from a video I had shot on my phone at the venue. I converted the stills to black and white and then added color and texture from below by blending together four Artsy Papers as a background. To get the grundged-up look, I duplicated the papers, gave each a layer mask, and selectively removed most of the paper so only the colors and textures I wanted remained. I added additional color and texture with a few Artsy Transfers and Fotoglows set to various trial-and-error blend modes. To trim out the page, I created some music notes with the custom shape tool and grabbed a Beaded Threadz to drape along the bottom of the framed photo. And then, because I like banners and the top of the page felt kind of empty, I added the stitched leaves.
