The Process
I began with artsy paper 2 from APP For the Record as the base of the page. Artsy Transfers Gentle Morning_1 was layered on the paper. The photo was clipped to a paint layer, duplicated and clipped to a large stain layer. Other layers were either moved or deleted. I grouped the layers, duplicated the group and changed the blending mode to screen, with a reduced opacity. MM Documents_4 was layered under the image. The butterfly and the hinge were layered above the image. The blending mode of the butterfly was changed to color burn and using the Hue/Saturation filter, the color was changed. MM Birds_3 was layered under the butterfly. Some of the layers (birds and a glow) were turned off. Magic Sprinklez were layered over the bird cage, with the color of the butterflies adjusted. Stitchez, buttons and word art were added to complete the page.
