Process:
Another page for my son's wedding album. This was a hard layout because I wanted to use the screen shot of the text message on my phone to tell the story. Try to make that fit in! But the boldness of this Artplay Palette really helped me to balance out that element--I opened a paper, pulled in the photo of my son and the text message box, and went from there. Things soon got very frame-y so I inserted a talk box, from the Custom Shapes tool under the frames, to balance things out. Once I had solved the text message box problem, the rest went smoothly enough, using the transfers and overlays from the Palette and the urban stitches. It was just a matter of putting layer masks on everything so I could remove stray bits and pieces or round off hard edges. I added some blue with the bow to triangulate the blue in the shirt and the text message box, and then the rest of the embellishments. Shoot me in the head if I ever try to use a text message box in a layout again!
