Journaling:
The main exhibit was about the Great Depression and the CCC. There was also an interactive exhibit about shoemaking. They described how they repaired shoes which were passed down among children, and they used tiny nails. I remembered those nails and how sometimes they'd poke through the sole of the shoe into my toes.

How lovely when a visit to the museum brings back such personal memories. Great page.

My grandfather was a cobbler so this spread really brings back the memories, as there are lots of Depression-era stories about shoes in my background. I love that photo, and you've given me some ideas on how to treat some museum photos that I took in Vancouver. It's hard for me to make the exhibit come alive on the page, the way I saw it in the museum, but your spread is VERY alive. I love that about it.

I remember the heels of shoes being repaired, but nothing near my toes, this is a great piece of history, made better by the fact you can connect to the exhibit! Great page!
