Journaling: This is one of the first photos I took on our honeymoon when we landed in Maui. We were so taken by the beauty of this place. Looking at this photo, I am reminded not only of the breathtaking
sights, but of those waves. Those big, crashing
waves. For someone who is afraid of deep water, my first trip to the ocean was definitely a challenge. The first day we went swimming in the ocean, I was taken under by a wave, my head slammed against the bottom. I tried to get up and was taken under again. I had never been so scared! I honestly thought I was drowning. The next day we had reservations for surf lessons, and it took every bit of my courage to go through with it. I did, and I am so
glad! We had so much fun learning to surf. Im glad that I got past my fear of the ocean.
