One of my favorite poems to read to my 5th grade students was "The Dance of the 13 Skeletons" by Jack Prelutsky. The rhythm and vocabulary are delicious! This is a card made for the grandkids with the poem on the back of it.

The Process
A solid black background paper from APP Zombie was selected as the base of the page. Another black background paper from APP Monster Treats was layered above. Using the gradient tool the bottom half of the paper was hidden, allowing the bottom layer to show through. Warm glows were clipped to the skeletons. A composite image of the skeletons was made and flipped vertically. Again using the gradient tool, part of the skeletons were hidded, creating a reflection. Dripped WaterColor brushes were filled with white and draped along the top of the page. Splatters, artstrokes, stars, embellishments and transfers were added to complete the page.
