Process: Annas artsy layered templates are an easy way for me to began a page. I began this page by dragging over all the layers of ALT 212. This template has a vertical design. I followed Annas placement of the text box, title, my focal photo and the small frames. I also used her design for the background. Next I extracted the large photo and clipped two small photos to the framed masks. I adjusted the position just a little, but followed the vertical line of Annas template. Then I began working on the background, first placing brush_9 from ParkPlay No. 1 (color burn blend mode) and giving it a gradient and style. Just above the PlayPark brush, I added a fotoglow from AP Tinge to intensify the color. Below the pictorial brush I clipped layers from AT Wild Autumn 3 and 2 to a fotoblendz mask. I placed an overlay and gold paint below my large photo in essence mimicking the two section design of the template. I filled the area behind my focal photo with addition stains from the template, transfer layers and an overlay from AP WildAutumn. I placed the transfer layers from AT Rust_1 at the top of the page, just above solid paper_2. I added MM Branches5_2 along the side of the frames and MMLeaves4_3 on the left edge above my title. To get the title darker, I applied a style to the wood word art to make it darker. I added my journaling, the date and my signature.

Thanks for looking:)
Wonderful photos. LOVE the orange and green, both in the photos and your embellies.

You may not know how to retain wood grain, but I don't even know what a style IS! Thanks for your process notes, which give much food for thought. I always enjoy knowing how your beautiful creations come together, even if it takes some research to follow along. (The playground brush treatment is a stunner.)

I love the 3D feeling of your page, and the colors, the brush-works, the blending...everything on the page!
Beautiful photos!
