this is a photo of my kids taken many years ago at the Oakland Zoo on a ride just outside the entrance to the train (which we rode over and over and over again).

as i looked through the gallery this weekend, i saw so many beautiful pages using this particular artsy paper from the new ArtPlay Palette Inclement that i decided i would also try a page. thanks to all of you who continue to inspire me with your beautiful work.

process...
i added a watercolor filter to the artsy paper (it's a ps filter). the paper was duplicated and fliped and blended over the first layer. the same process was used with the photo after i masked out all of the other pesky planes and background scenery. since i didn't have a lot of time to devote to the masking i needed some way to "hide" some of the rougher edges. i did that with some additional clouds and a bit of lighting with the light leaks. i added a rainbow gradient to some of the little water drops. added the quote, my personal thoughts and it was done.
