We have had this woodsy property for several years. It is so picturesque,with dense woods,a stream, and much wildlife. It just sat idle and we would mow or try to chop a little from time to time. It is a great mushroom grower in the spring and lots and lots of grapevines grow there. So this spring,the family began a project,work of love.. to build a house for our grandson and his family. Well,the work is about completed and yesterday I journeyed into the trees for some lovely fall shots on one of my "breaks". I am so happy that we kept this property,it will be a beautiful home for my grandson and family. His grandfather would be smiling right now since he found the property so inviting and always said it should be kept for someone in the family to enjoy.

Process:

I started with a new 12X12 page document and selected 3 artsy papers from APP Autumn Rust.
I used the magic wand tool to delete the parts I didn't want and then selected the photo.
I used inverted masking technique to reveal the main focal point and then placed a frame over that.
Multi-media leaves,the branch from the APP were all placed about the image,to give a woodsy feel.
I used some brushes for splatters and then the soft foto glow to illuminate the right side a bit.
Urban stitches and gold leaves were placed at the top of the page for a little interest... and per Anna's suggestion to try the "unconventional".

Some elements were recolored,resized,duplicated,opacity changed,and or blending modes applied.
