Process: One might not generally describe pages about grasshoppers as artsy, but one of the ideas discussed in Annas class, AnnaBlendz Live, link, was the idea of the unexpected. While Anna probably wont be surprised by this page, I know my family is going to be surprised.

I began with this photo of a grasshopper I found today on a lovely bed of white Chrysanthemums. I dragged the layers of AT Autumn Rust_5 and clipped a photo copy to a paint layer and transfer. Above the transfer layers, I placed the WA FotoBlendz mask and clipped my photo to it. Above that I blended another copy with an rough extraction on top. There is another copy above on color dodge. I added layers from AT Autumn Rust_4 on the left as well as AT Time. I also clipped the flowers to another WA FotoBlendz mask at the very bottom. I added a few splatter, journaling and the word art from WoodWords No. 4.
Now that is a close-up!! Love the detail and how you placed the stitches!!

Wonderful shot of the grasshopper! Beautiful page use of the transfers!

I hate grasshoppers but the one in your page benefit from being in a wonderful page and I almost like it! I especially love how it matches with the wooden word art and the clipped white flowers!

I read with interest how you did the layout, I now understand more about having several copies of a photo and clipping it to transfers etc. I recently got a template from the shop and was at a loss how to deal with the four layers above the photo mask- now I understand. Thanks for the insight. The layout is amazing, a really good close up of nature.

The process that you provide is so very helpful. The colors are beautiful and the journaling is interesting. Thank you for sardine.
