Isle of Mull

Our friends kindly invited us to join them on the Isle of Mull (West coast of Scotland) a few years ago for a very relaxing Autumnal long weekend!

I started with the template, rotated, reduced in size then stripped out nearly everything apart from the frames and some textures; I filled the frames with transfers and papers from Anna's latest Artplay palettes. Behind the frames is a transfer from AP Autumn rust and on top of that is a transfer from AP Breakaway to give a little touch of blue and one from Ap Autumn elegance to give that swirly paint effect. The photograph was clipped to a brush and then duplicated with the bottom layer on colour burn and the top layer overlay; I then erased parts of the top layer to focus on the little blue boat. Lastly I used the blue sky transfer from Wild Autumn to achieve that blue grey sky we often get in Scotland. The background paper is from AP Breakaway but I wanted a slight sepia tinge so used an adjustment layer to change the colour then added MM leaves for a little pop of orangey goodness! :)
