A mess is a beautiful thing... I was looking out the window today to the south garden and saw nothing but the fall mess that needs more tending. Then over the hill and across the corn fields,I could just barely see the top of the neighbor's barn.I grabbed the camera and suddenly I had forgotten the mess. I don't know if there is a moral to this story but then along came Adryane's color challenge... this is what I came up with.

Process:

I created a document and selected the image.
I used brushes mostly from APP moments in the inverted masking technique,erasing some and decreasing opacity in others.
Then I placed APP Autumn Rust solid paper as my background,then APP Autumn Elegance artsy paper above that and changed the blending mode. The lower portion of the background needed something so I used a duplicate of the artsy paper at the bottom and blended the edges away.
I used more brushes,artstrokes and splatters around the image and some textures in the brushes of the APP's.
I added the brush word art and changed the color to white,then added the stitches and duplicated them for dimension.

Some elements were recolored,resized,duplicated,opacity changed and or blending modes applied.
