For many years I lived in a place
that I really did not like to be.
Each day I yearned to be back
home, surrounded by the rugged
beauty of Vancouver Island
Oh I put on a good face for
most of the time, but the prairie
just did not make me feel like I
truly belonged. My children
were born and raised there, but still there
was always an emptiness inside of me.
I missed my Parents, my Siblings
and all of my friends of course, and
each visit back home would make it even
hardier to leave then the time before.
I am happy to say Dear Diary
that we have been back home now for almost nine years!!
Each day a gift, each
sunrise and sunset a treasured memory!
I am truly happy!! Yes my children
and my grandchildren all live much to
far away, But they come to visit and we
go to see them also, but this is home
the place that fills my heart with joy
The place where I can be at peace,
this place that I call Home!
