Ten days earlier we got up to Long Draw Reservoir to see fall color, but at sunrise snow was coming down heavy. A bust. We laughed at 5 am as we left for the Peak to Peak Highway in a light rain. It turned into a beautiful day and we hiked to Copeland Falls in RMNP.

Those pebbles are a wonderful touch, mirroring the water drops on the rock and suggesting the smoothness of stones tumbled by water. Everything works so well together here.
