A Day at Oceanside Pier

Journaling reads: There has been perfect beach weather, and at Oceanside Pier, there were no crowds. Cora loved playing in the surf, and giggled as mommy played with her at the waters edge.

Process Notes: I began with the ALT 205. I attached the photo on the left to the large paint layer, and then attached another copy of it to the white paint layer along the left edge. I then attached the photos to the frame clipping masks. I copied the middle photo and dragged it above the frame layer. I used inverted masking to create the OOB of Cora. I then modified the colors of a number of the template layers. I opened up a number of the ArtsyTransfers Studious, and dragged in individual layers (mainly stains, artstrokes and splatters), modifying the colors of the stains. I used some transfers, artstrokes and splatters and a word-strip from AP Learn. I added the title, adding a stroke and shadow to a portion of the title. I added the journaling. I finished up by adding the grid paper from AP Learn, turning it 45 degrees, and then used inverted masking to add the grid to the lower right portion of the page. I placed it on blend mode Multiply so that only the grid was seen. I wanted to give a sunnier look to the page, so I added two of the Abstract Fotoblendz, and changed their color to a soft yellow, and placing it to span across the photos, I placed them on blend mode overlay, and brought down their opacity to about 15% giving the photos a sun-kissed look.
