Salt River Wild Horses

I used to live by the Salt River in Arizona. It's been in the news latelyfederals officials wanted to relocate the wild horse herds that have lived there longer than my parents. But thanks to the social media outrage, it's been stopped. I "ghosted" the horses symbolizing their unknown future.

journaling: The Salt River in Arizona has been the habitat of herds of wild horses for over 80 years. Theyve become symbols of Arizona for visitors to the recreation area at Saguaro Lake. But recently they were in the news because federal officials planned to start rounding em up. With their relocation area unknown, residents and lawmakers protested; thankfully, this roundup has been haltedfor now anyway. Hopefully, forever.
This touches my heart. What a beautiful page, and wonderful journaling. I hope the threat to move them never comes to fruition. Great use of this beautiful kit.

Gorgeous page! I love your use of color and the texture of watercolor with the softened photo.

I am so sad about that they are wanting to do with the Salt River horses. We are having issues with wild horses in So California as well. So sad. Gorgeous layout.

Beautifully done, quite a magical feel with the soft watercolour and lovely blending! I'm so glad the round up has been stopped!

This is beautiful, great photo technique, and I LOVE reading your journaling. I'm always curious why pages are created:)

gorgeous page and love how you ghosted the horses and I hope they get to keep their range! I went to ASU and often went to Saguaro Lake!
